Valentin is a Director and (part-time) Photographer based in Graz. Having started off studying Graphic Design, he quickly moved on to Animation before transitioning to creating real imagery. After having spent a few years working in New York, he rejoined his family at ZWUPP in 2012, and has been a member ever since. His love for imagery eventually drove him to find another outlet in photography, which he often refers to as a form of meditation.
His directing work often feels unscripted and raw, closing in on human emotions, paired with a strong sense of rhythm and speed. He also knows of the importance of a good team and relies on a group of trusted and talented individuals, because film is the only art form that can only be done by a team.
